I feel so blessed to have been raised by a mom who shared her love of art with me and a dad who shared his love of history and flea markets, antique shops, yard sales, and junk shops! Those two forces have collided in my heart, and inspire me to create "art that remembers". I love to incorporate vintage pieces, especially text from old books into the work I do.
The other forces which strongly influence my work are my faith, nature, and my love of everything "childhood and whimsy".
I've been learning various art techniques from before I can remember. My mom, who primarily worked in pastels and charcoals, taught me many methods. As an adult, I've done the arts and crafts circuit, taught art in a parochial school for students aged pre-k through grade 8, and sold my art work in various local shops and galleries, as well as online. My current passions are mixed media art, photographic art, jewelry making, and writing.

On a personal note, I have been married to the love of my life for almost thirty years, and we are the parents of seven beautiful children aged 26-4. My husband is a musician, as are three of our children. Faith and creativity are the core of our family life at Glitter & Grunge Studio, our little home/studio nestled in the heart of southern New England.
